G’bal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Tuesday visited the Qamaria Ground, here to oversee the preparations for the upcoming Republic Day function.
The DC along with other officers conducted a thorough review of the arrangements to ensure a seamless celebration of the National Day.
He took a round of the ground and underscored the significance of proper sanitation, cleanliness, decoration and security measures.
During the on-site inspection, Shyambir emphasized the importance of close coordination among the departments for successful celebration and directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all arrangements are finalized well before the commencement of full dress rehearsal on 24 January.
The DC directed AE Jal Shakti to ensure sufficient water tankers are placed on identified spots within the ground besides EO Municipal Council Ganderbal was instructed for proper sanitation at the venue.
Similarly, Executive Engineer R&B was given similar instruction regarding seating, installation of shamyana, stage, DJ system, LED screens and maintenance of the main ground.
The DC instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements well in advance stressing on stage barricading, beautification, seating arrangements as per the protocol, and addressing other crucial aspects.
