DC Srinagar/ President ZSWO visits Zila Sainik Bhawan; takes stock of its functioning

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Saturday visited Zila Sainik Welfare Office (ZSWO) cum Sainik Bhawan at Batmaloo and took stock of its functioning.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, who is also President Zilla Sainik Welfare Board interacted with the staff of ZSWO and War Veterans.
The DC was briefed about the role and responsibilities and functioning of the Zila Sainik Welfare Office(ZSWO) cum Sainik Bhawan through a PowerPoint presentation by Abdul Rashid War Nodal Officer.
The DC was also informed about the Welfare measures being taken for the next of the kins of the martyrs.
Earlier, the DC inspected various blocks of the Zila Sanik Office and took stock of the available facilities.
The DC assured full support to the board from the District Administration for infrastructure upgradation to further strengthen the ZSWO Srinagar.
District Social Welfare Officer cum DDO ZSWO Srinagar, Mukhtar Ahmad, Colonel Veterans Colonel Ravi Kumar of HQ 31 Sub Area and other concerned were present on the occasion.
