B’pora: Continuing its efforts to ensure sensible driving and adherence to traffic rules on the roads, Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Bandipora Friday conducted surprise checks on the Srinagar-Bandipora Highway.
Officials under the supervision of ARTO Bandipora presented a token of love for the drivers following MVD rules and regulations. As a mark of goodwill gesture love token flowers and pamphlets were presented to the drivers and passengers. Flowers were distributed among the drivers wearing seat belts, following standard procedures of driving and maintenance of vehicles.
Nearly one thousand pamphlets were distributed among the general public for the awareness of the traffic rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, a hard sticks approach was applied for the offender of MVD rules and regulations. On spot challans were issued for the violations of traffic rules to set a momentum.
Officials of Assistant Regional Transport office Bandipora are using multi pronged strategies to ensure the adherence of traffic rules and hassle free movement of vehicles on the roads for the safety and well being of common people.
