Distt Admin Kishtwar finalises arrangements for Republic Day 2024

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, chaired a meeting here Friday, bringing together line departments and stakeholders to discuss and finalise arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day 2024.
The meeting was attended by ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, PO ICDS/CEO KDA Dr. Rishi Sharma, SDM Marwah Mohd Ashraf, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutiyal, Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar, Dy SP Hq Ishan Gupta, XEN PWD Ravinder Kumar, CEO Kishtwar, CAO Kishtwar, CAHO Kishtwar, along with other district officers, traffic officers, fire tenders, and representatives from different departments and educational institutions.
The meeting highlighted that the main function would be held at the District headquarter Kishtwar, with local administrations overseeing celebrations at Sub-Division, Block, and Tehsil levels.
DC instructed heads of different departments to ensure their presence, along with subordinate officers, at the Republic Day function in the district headquarters, SDM, Tehsil, and Block levels.
The meeting finalises the arrangements such as unfurling of Flag , March past, cultural performances, seating, stage setup, venue preparation, and refreshments for the Republic Day celebration. It was held that the day would commence with the playing of Shanai Vadan, and special directions were given to concerned officers for Shehnai Vadan.
Additionally, instructions were provided to the Police Authorities to ensure unerring security arrangements.
Concerned departments were directed to ensure the provision of drinking water, power supply, Medicare facilities, lime lining, sanitation, transport, traffic regulation, illumination of government buildings, deployment of fire tenders, seating arrangements, and distribution of invitations, among other aspects.The concerned officers/heads confirmed for the same.
Events such as the Archery Competition, Poetry Competition, Shayari Competition, and the Inauguration of the Musical Club in Kishtwar were planned for the occasion.
Besides the debate competition on the theme of the Constitution and the role of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and others would be organized, with top winner’s be felicitated on Republic Day.
Strict directions were given by DC Kishtwar against the usage of plastic water bottles on the occasion.
Moreover, a special tableau highlighting specific themes would be created for the Republic Day celebration.
Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner assigned responsibilities for different arrangements to each department and constituted several committees to monitor the process. Senior officers from Civil and Police administration, along with other stakeholders, provided valuable suggestions to ensure the Republic Day celebration becomes a grand event in the district.
Similarly, a meeting to finalise the arrangements for R Day celebration was also held in the Sub Division Paddar under the Chairmanship of SDM Paddar Arun Kumar Badyal.
