ADDC B’pora reviews functioning of RDD, stresses on timely completion & maintaining Quality of works

B’pora: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, M Ashraf Bhat Friday reviewed the functioning of the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj in a meeting held at Mini Secretariat, here.
The meeting discussed various matters of the department including the position of staff in position and vacant positions.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat who is also holding charge of ACD Bandipora, Muzaffar Hussain informed the chair that District Bandipora consists of 12 blocks and under Area Development Fund ADF (DDC/BDC/PRI Grants) for the year 2023-24, an expenditure of 80% has been incurred so far against availability of funds and 1157 works have been completed and 269 works are under progress.
He informed that under the Aspirational Panchayat Development plan 70% expenditure has been booked, 21 works have been completed and 298 works are under progress.
Moreover, under the District Capex budget Rs 4021 lacs is anticipated expenditure against Rs 4449.94 lacs approved cost for the year 2023-24.
Under the MG-NREGA an expenditure of 1735 lacs has been incurred and 2787 works (spill over and new) have been completed so far.
The meeting was informed that all the works are being geo-tagged and the percentage is above 84%.
Under UT Capex, CD and Panchayat, 109 lacs have been spent so far against 138 lacs and 78 works have been completed.
The ADDC also reviewed the status of PMAY-G 2021-22, 2023-24 besides the progress under other schemes such as aspirational blocks, developmental progress, construction of new Panchayat Ghars, Co. Location of CSC’s Common Service Center and Swachh Bharat Mission G.
The ADDC instructed all the officers and the engineering staff to complete all the works both physically and financially as per the timelines fixed by the Government in this regard besides ensuring quality of works to the best satisfaction of the public at the earliest possible time.
The meeting among others was attended by ACP Bandipora Muzaffar Hussain, BDO Arin Shariq Iqbal and other concerned officers.
