Srinagar: Continuing its crackdown on militant ecosystem, harbouring militants and providing logistic support to militants, Police in Anantnag along with concerned Executive Magistrate attached residential property belonging to Ab Salam Rather son of Mohd Ramzan Rather at Tangpawa Kokernag.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the property attached by it was linked with Case FIR No. 170/2022, U/S 307 IPC, 7/25 I A Act, 16,18,19,20,23,38,39 UA (P) Act of Police Station Kokernag, adding therein that during investigation Zahoor Ahmad Rather S/O Ab Salam Rather R/O Tangpawa Kokernag was working as militant associate and used to provide food, shelter and other logistic support to slain militants identified as Asif Reshi @ Khubaib son of Mohd Yaseen Reshi resident of Sheikhpora Marhama and Wakeel Ahmad Bhat, @Talha S/O Abdul Ahad Bhat R/O Nai Basti Marhama at his residential house .
Stating that the case falls within ambit of proceeds of militancy under section 2(g) r/w section 25 of UA(P) Act 1967. Police in it’s statement said that the confirmation of attachment of property was sanctioned by competent authority.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police appealed people not to provide logistic support to the militants and any one committing such an act will fact strict action as per law .
