Ramnagar : Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ramnagar Wahid-Ul-Rehmanon Tuesday presided over a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the Republic Day celebration.
Notable attendees included SDPO, Vishal Manhas, Block Development Officer Sat Paul, Dr. Mohd. FarooqTaq from SDH Ramnagar, AEE PHE, and other key officers.
The meeting extensively covered topics such as barricading, security, seating, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, first aid, and the deployment of fire tenders. The focal point for the main event was decided to be the Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar.
A diverse array of contingents from both government and private educational institutions will participate in the march past.
The SDM instructed the PWD (R&B), PHE, and PDD engineers to oversee seating, barricading, drinking water provisions, and ensure uninterrupted power supply at the designated venue. The EO Municipal Committee was entrusted with maintaining cleanliness in the town and at the event venue. For first Aid, the BMO was directed to deploy an ambulance along with a team of doctors and necessary medicines throughout the Republic Day function.
With security and traffic management falling under the purview of the police, SDM urged all officers to make necessary arrangements well in advance, emphasizing the importance of a seamless celebration. Committees were established to guarantee the success of the event, and all officers and officials were directed to be present at the venue on Republic Day.

Preparations underway for Republic Day celebration in Doda, DC reviews arrangements
Doda: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh on Tuesday presided over a meeting in the conference hall of the DC office complex to take stock of arrangements assigned to different departments for Republic day celebrations.
Notable attendees were ADC, ACD, district officers from various departments, executive engineers from PWD, PDD, and PHE, along with representatives from Higher Secondary School and other senior officers.
The meeting revealed that the main Republic Day function would be hosted at Sports Stadium. The event is set to commence with the Shehnaiwadan program at 7:30 AM by the District Information Centre Doda.
Contingents from JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC Senior and Junior Division, as well as government and private schools, are slated to participate in the event.
The education department was directed to submit a list of participating schools and institutions to the DC office for logistics planning, including refreshments.
The DC Doda further instructed the Municipal Council and Executive Engineer PDD to illuminate public offices as per past practices. Additionally, the Sports Council was tasked with ensuring a facelift of the venue in advance.
The meeting addressed various aspects of the event, encompassing drinking water, power supply, toilet facilities, parking, first aid, sanitation, security, public address system, fire tenders, tableau preparation, seating arrangements, mementos, and refreshments. DC Doda emphasized cleanliness around the venue, health facilities, and efficient traffic arrangements. The final full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration in Doda is scheduled for January 24, 2024, ensuring meticulous preparedness for the grand event.
