DC B’pora conducts comprehensive review of RDD Sector

Says “Complete works on time & adhere to quality standards”

Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, ShakeelUlRehman Rather on Tuesday chaired a meeting to conduct a comprehensive review of the status of works undertaken by the Rural Development Department.
The meeting was aimed to evaluate the progress and impact of ongoing projects in the rural areas under the purview of the RDD.
The DC took scheme wise financial and physical review of various ongoing projects in the district and reviewed various aspects, including project timelines, resource allocation, and the overall effectiveness of RDD initiatives in addressing the needs of the rural population.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, MuzaffarHussain briefed the chair regarding the status of various projects/works in the district Bandipora.
The meeting was informed that in district Bandipora 1474 construction works were approved and administrative approval was accorded to 1451 works under ADF 2023-24.
The meeting was further informed that 1157 works stand physically completed, marking 80 percent completion of approved works and expenditure of 2618.38 lacs have been made out of the total 3291.95 lacs released amount under ADF 2023-24.
The chair was appraised that under the aspirational panchayat development plan 2023-24, 21 works have been completed out of 29 approved works.
The meeting also discussed various other aspects, including MGNREGA, Geo Tagging, social audit action taken report, CAPEX, PMAY-G, and aspirational Block Development Program.
Speaking on the occasion, DC stressed on timely completion of all works and adherence to quality standards and laid emphasis on creation of tangible assets to improve overall standard of living in rural areas.
ShakeelurRehman emphasized on the efficient use of resources to ensure fruitful outcomes of rural development projects.
DC expressed satisfaction with certain achievements and highlighted areas for improvement to further enhance the effectiveness of RDD works in promoting rural well-being.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi, ACP/ACD Muzaffar Ahmad, CPO BandiporaMohdMaqbool, ExEn REW, BDOs, AEEs and other concerned officers.
