Anti-Drug awareness program held across Educational Zones in Doda

Doda: An awareness program on hazards of drug abuse and ‘NashaMukt Bharat’ initiative was held in all Educational Zones of District Doda.
Students, parents, and staff members actively participated in the initiative. The main event was held in Boys Higher Secondary School Doda, with DYSP HQ JaswantSingh, DEPO, Dr. Anis Ahmed, SHO, JatinderRukwal, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Babu Ram, and I/C Drug De-addiction center, Simi Thakur also joined the event.
A number of students spoke on the harmful effects of drugs on individuals, families, and society at large. They urged the public to raise awareness about the detrimental impact of drugs and stay vigilant against those involved in illegal drug trade. The participants unanimously called for widespread awareness efforts, emphasizing the need to be cautious of individuals engaged in such illegal activities.
The event concluded with a commitment to organize similar programs on a larger scale to ensure the success of the NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan, aiming to create a drug-free India.

Education Zone Assar organises NashaMukt Bharat rally, Participants pledge to fight against substance abuse
Doda: In a significant move towards building a drug-free community, Education Zone Assar organised a NashaMukt Bharat rally here on Tuesday.
The event, hosted at Government Higher Secondary School Assar under the supervision of the School Principal cum DDO Assar, Sanjeev K Badyal, witnessed participation of over 40 students and the staff from Cluster Baggar.
The rally commenced from GHSS Assar with students carrying banners, placards and charts adorned with NashaMukt slogans and quotes.
The procession moved through the village, market area, and streets of Village Assar. The students chanted slogans, creating a connection with the local community.
The active involvement of both students and staff was evident, all dedicated to spreading awareness about the adverse effects of substance abuse. The initiative aimed not only to educate but also to emotionally engage the general public, fostering a collective commitment to a drug-free society. The rally served as a powerful reminder of the community’s determination to combat the menace of drug addiction and build a healthier future for the Assar Zone in Doda.

District Admin intensifies efforts to combat drug abuse in Doda
Doda: District Magistrate Harvinder Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom has called for stepping up vigil on Educational Institutions, Medical Stores, Medical institutions to curb drug abuse.
Speaking at the 19th NCORD meeting, the DM reiterated the resolve of the district administration to curb the proliferation of drug abuse in the district. Emphasis was laid on tightening the noose around habitual offenders, drug peddlers and their supporters to liberate the district from the grip of drug abuse.
It was highlighted in the meeting that collective efforts have led to elimination of drug menace in several Panchayats in the district and the same have been declared as drug-free.
The stakeholders and PRIs have played a pivotal role in this achievement. To confirm suspicions, drug testing kits are actively utilized, guiding subsequent courses of action. The meeting extensively discussed both the accomplishments and future plans to effectively combat the menace of drugs in the district.
SSP Doda, serving as the Convener of NCORD, affirmed that the district police are fully committed to eradicating and monitoring drug activities across Doda.
