Srinagar: With an aim to achieve saturation under all beneficiary oriented schemes in the District, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Saturday, attended the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra(VBSY) programme for SMC Ward No.18 held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School SakidafarSafakadal.At the outset, the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra Van was accorded a warm welcome by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar in presence of members of the Swagat Committee along with prominent citizens and large gathering of people of the area.
On the occasion, the VBSY Van displayed the message of the Prime Minister and also spread the awareness among people aimed to ensure seamless reach of Government welfare programmes/centrally sponsored flagship schemes to every part of the District
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner elaborated on the transformative impact of the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra on the citizens as the main goal is to reach uncovered beneficiaries to make them entitled to the benefit of the Government schemes they deserve.
The DC underscored the importance of the Yatra in fostering development, enhancing awareness and establishing direct interaction with beneficiaries to achieve saturation of all schemes.
While advocating for ushering pro-people Administration in District, the DC stressed the officers of the line Departments to ensure that all genuine beneficiaries under Centrally Sponsored schemes are timely enrolled and provided the benefit of the schemes in a hassle free and time bound manner.
The DC said the Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra focuses on both urban and rural areas, highlighting key schemes such as PM UjjwalaYojana, PMJAY Ayushman Bharat, PM AwasYojana, PM Svanidhi, PM VishwakarmaYojana, PM Mudra Yojana, Digital Payment infrastructure, PMGKAY, DAY-NRLM, PM PoshanAbhiyan, JJM and SVAMITVA.
The DC urged the people present on the occasion to take maximum benefits from these schemes by registering themselves with the concerned Departments particularly during Viksit Bharat SanaklpYatra.
The DC highlighted the benefits of the Health/Golden Card which entitles beneficiaries to get the benefit in the need of hour that provides free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs 5 lakh per family.
The DC also administered Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra pledge to the participants and the officers/Officials.
Later, the DC inspected the stalls setup by different Departments showcasing the Government flagship schemes, providing a visual representation of the initiatives and encouraging the public to avail full advantage of schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowerment.

Appreciates people of Budgam for successful conduct of VBSY in the District
Budgam : Prabhari Officer, Director, Ministry of Mines, GoI Mushtaq Ahmad on Saturday, presided over a Viksit Bharat SankalpYatra (VBSY), program at Townhall Chadoora in Budgam.
On the occasion, Prabhari Officer inspected stalls, installed by different departments to showcase their products and for awareness generation regarding different schemes and flagship initiatives.
With locals overwhelmingly participating in the activities, the VBSY function witnessed impressive gathering from all local wards of Town Chadoora.
After holding the flower ceremony of the VBSY Van and Izband ceremony, the Prabhari Officer also participated in the Sankalp Pledge administered on the occasion.
In his address, the Prabhari Officer appreciated the people of Budgam& District Administration Budgam for successfully conducting the VBSY program across all 296 gram panchayats and municipal wards of 6 Municipal Committees of the district.
Speaking at the outset, the Prabhari Officer expressed his happiness while witnessing greater public participation in VBSY programs in Budgam.
He termed public participation is must for every great initiative including realising the dream of making our country a developed Nation by 2047.
The Prabhari Officer maintained that every citizen has a role to play and contribute for the nation building.
He encouraged the district administration to continue the journey of VBSY with the same enthusiasm and reach out all unreached through this campaign.
He emphasised on saturation of all schemes to achieve the objective of VBSY campaign.
On the occasion, a series of activities including cultural events, singing of Swacchta song, quiz programmes and other related activities were also held on the occasion.
During “MeriKahaniMeriZubani ” session, various beneficiaries also spoke regarding their achievements under different government schemes and flagship programmes.
On the occasion, officers of all line departments also deliberated on their schemes and flagship initiatives for awareness of the general public.
The participants welcomed VBSY Van with much enthusiasm and screening of Prime Minister’s message and other movies to generate awareness on the Central Government’s initiatives for public welfare.
The Prabhari Officer also felicitated achievers including students for their exemplary work in different fields during the programme.
