Kulgam : An online webinar based on the theme “Understanding the Importance of NAAC accreditation for colleges with special focus on colleges of UT of J&K” was conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Government Degree College Kulgam on Saturday.
The webinar was attended by more than 100 participants including principals of various colleges, faculty members, research scholars and students of different colleges of UT of Jammu and Kashmir and other institutes.
Principal of the college Prof. Syed EazazHussainRizvi, highlighted the importance of NAAC accreditation for colleges and its impact on the academic and administrative structure of higher education institutions.
The invited speaker, Dr. SadiqMajeed, Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Govt. Sri Pratap College, Srinagar gave detailed presentation on the theme and enlightened the participants with his knowledge on the importance of NAAC accreditation for colleges. His criterion wise presentation on different aspects highlighted the requirements to be fulfilled for a successful NAAC accreditation.
Coordinator, IQAC Government Degree College Kulgam, Dr. Gowhar Hamid Dar in his address highlighted the progress made by the institution since its inception in the year 2004. He also summarized the achievements made by the college and IQAC cell of the college post accreditation on 14th June 2019.
The participants engaged in a healthy discussion and all the aspects related to the theme were deliberated in detail. The vote of thanks on the occasion was presented by Prof. Master Showkat Ali, Member IQAC, Government Degree College Kulgam.
