B’pora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ul Rehman Rather along with other senior officers, actively participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) on the eve of National Youth Day 2024.
VBSY, a nationwide initiative, spearheaded by the Prime Minister, aims to transform rural India through collective action and the active participation of young people.
The Information Education and Communication (IEC) Van displayed a live speech by the PM wherein he stated that National Youth Day 2024 is celebrated on January 12th to honour the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of greatest spiritual and social leaders of India. He said that the day is dedicated to inspiring young minds, promoting education, and encouraging community service.
The VBSY serves as a platform to raise awareness about various government schemes and programs focused on rural development, youth entrepreneurship, and skill development.
Rather, while emphasizing the importance of youth engagement in nation-building. He encouraged young people to actively participate in VBSY and contribute their ideas and energy towards making rural India self-reliant and prosperous.
The DC said that National Youth Day is a perfect occasion to celebrate the spirit of youth and their immense potential. He said, the VBSY provides a unique opportunity for our young generation to take ownership of their future and become agents of positive change in their communities.
