Secy Revenue visits Kulgam, conducts public Darbar

Kulgam: Secretary Revenue, Prasanna Ramaswamy G, on Thursday visited Kulgam and convened a public drabar, under the ambitious public outreach initiative of the government, to take stock of public welfare and development issues.
Deputy Commissioner, Athar Aamir Khan, Additional District Development Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Rather, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vikar Ahmad Giri and other district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion alongwith scores of public delegations, activists and others..
Transporters delegation, Fruit Growers and Traders Association, Tribal delegation, Auqaf Committee Kulgam besides deputations from Kund, Devsar, Brazloo, D.H.Pora, Manzgam, Pombay, Pahloo, Qaimoh, Frisal, Yaripora and other areas participated in the camp and projected various issues and concerns relating welfare and development of their areas.
The issues included transfer of land for augmentation of fruit Mandi Kulgam, establishment of Eklavya Model School at Kund, provision of adequate water supply at Pahloo, augmentation of power infrastructure, Cardiologist in DH, road constructions, betterment of urban amenities, provision of revenue and patwar khana at Kakran, adequate sanitation services and removal of garbage, sanction of SDH at Devsar besides other demands of public importance.
Secretary also took stock of revenue related demands and grievances and instructed for prompt redressal of the same. Some of the demands were redressed on the spot.
Secretary, while responding to issues raised by the public, instructed the concerned officers to initiate necessary action for redressal of the same. He said that accountable and transparent administration is hallmark of the present government and holding of these grievance camps is a step forward towards that direction.
Later, Secretary distributed Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra T Shirts and caps among the public besides presenting Abhinandan Partas under JJM to Pani Samitis of Okey and Poniwah.
