Absconder involved in 3 cases, 3 complaints arrested U/S 512 Cr.PC after 4 years, EOW CBJ

Srinagar : Special team of Economic Offences Wing – Crime Branch Jammu apprehended absconder – Kulranjan Sharma S/o Om Parkash Sharma R/o H.No.401-A Rani TalabDigiana from the outskirts of Jammu after remaining elusive for a period of around 4 years when case FIR No. 39/2020 U/S 420,465,468,471,120-B /RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu was registered against him among two other co-accused persons viz 2) Prop. K. K. Motors – Kulbir Singh S/o Sansar Singh R/o Bhau R.S Pura Jammu 3) Narotam Singh S/o Ram Saran R/o MarjaliKangril Jammu for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy and cheating complainant of an amount of Rs 23.5 Lakh by getting bank loan sanctioned in his favour for sale of JCB.
According to a statement issued from PHQ J&K Jammu, the accused absconder is a notorious habitual offender who is involved in 3 case FIR’s & 3 complaints viz 1) Case FIR No. 33/2019 P/S Crime Branch Jammu and case FIR No. 32/2017 P/S Janipur. Besides this, 03 complaints are also under probe against the culprit. While the other two accused persons were already brought to justice by Crime Branch Jammu by presenting charge-sheet against them in the Court of law after investigation conducted by Crime Branch Jammu was proved against them on merits of the case, however, absconder Kulranjan Sharma was constantly changing his locations to evade arrest. The Hon’ble Court had issued warrant U/S 512 Cr.PC against the absconder for his arrest on the request of Crime Branch Jammu when charge-sheet was produced against the other two accused persons in the Court of law for judicial determination. Subsequently, a Special team of Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Jammu was constituted and the accused was ultimately arrested with meticulous planning and well-coordinated efforts after four years wait.
