Alok Kumar convenes mega public grievances redressal camp at Reasi

Reasi : Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Alok Kumar, on Wednesday convened a mega grievance redressal camp at Mini Secretariat, Reasi.
District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, SSP Amit Gupta, ADDC Jyoti Slathia, ADC Abdul Star, Joint Director Planning, Sunita Kanchan, PO ICDS Mohammad Anwar Banday, SDM Katra Deepak Dubey, CEO, Principal GDC Reasi, Superintendent Engineers of R&B, PMGSY and PHE, and other senior officers of district administration were present on the occasion.
Chairman District Development Council Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag, PRI members and various delegations attended the outreach camp.
The participants apprised the Principal Secretary of their developmental issues and demands seeking his intervention to redress the same at the earliest.
People mainly approached with specific problems pertaining to up-gradation of roads, repair of irrigation khuls/canals and construction of small check dams for irrigation, fresh survey of PMAY houses, circular road to District Hospital and Government Degree College, hostel facilities in Government Degree Colleges, beautification of Kalika, Shankarya Acharya and Baba Aghar Jitto Temple, installation of solar lights, pending land compensation, up-gradation of school buildings, rationalization of staff in Schools and Colleges, approach road to Tribal Basti Julla, parking facility in Reasi Town, scarcity of water supply in residential areas, revision of rent on agriculture land taken over by army and other departments besides augmentation of infrastructure in public health institutions and JJM
A delegation of social activist raised the issue related to facility of hostel in GDC Reasi, shifting of veterinary hospital, and operationalisation of Mother and Child Hospital in Reasi.
In response to public grievances, Principal Secretary emphasized the urgent need for hostel facilities at GDC Reasi and directed principal GDC to furnish a complete detail of students who are looking for the facility for the same so as to make an actual assessment of the hostel requirement. He directed officers to allocate alternative land for establishment of a Veterinary hospital.
Principal Secretary directed the concerned authority to put forth a comprehensive proposal for beautification of all pilgrimage and tourist places in district.
Alok Kumar also issued on spot directions to the concerned officers to look into all the issues pertaining to their respective departments projected by various delegations and the individuals and initiate action for early redressal of the same.
Later, Alok Kumar distributed 20 engagement orders among Sanginis and Shahyikas engaged recently in the project in district Reasi.
