DC Kulgam chairs introductory meeting with Distt & Sectoral Officers, Reviews performance of deptts

Kulgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Tuesday chaired an introductory meeting with the District/Sectoral Officers of line departments at Mini-Secretariat, here.
After formal introduction with the officers of line departments, the DC listed the priorities of each department and impressed upon the officers to work with dedication towards achieving the set targets in a time bound manner.
During the meeting, Joint Director Planning through a powerpoint presentation gave an overview of the district profile. He also highlighted financial and physical progress made on various work projects including progress made under District Capex of Rs,65 crore.
He informed the chair that under District Capex out of 2430 works, 2416 were tendered and 1900 works stands completed.
During the meeting, priority issues of all the departments were discussed and concerned Officers were directed to put in extra efforts for achieving the desired results.
Addressing the meeting, the DC sought delivery of public services in hassle free manner for the convenience of the public and directed the concerned to adopt a robust and prompt approach in mitigating public grievances.
DC took department wise review of works, self employment and CSS schemes and instructed for completing the targets.
He stressed upon the district Heads to work efficiently and ensure functioning of the departments transparently and efficiently.
The DC also enquired about the implementation and targets of MGNREGA/PMAY (G), Poshan Abhiyan, JJM, SBM, HADP and status of different missions, schemes and centrally sponsored schemes.
Bottlenecks hindering the speedy execution of some works were also discussed in detail.
During the meeting, the chair was also apprised about the measures taken to contain the drug menace and to boost tourism sector in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather, ADC,V iqar Ahmad Giri, CEO-ADA, DPO, ACR,ACP, ACD, SEs, and other district and sectoral Officers.
