Jammu : In a strategic move to curb the persistent challenge of illegal mining, Jammu Police launched a well-coordinated operation involving teams from PS Akhnoor, Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, and Police Post Sidhra. Acting on targeted intelligence, these teams conducted simultaneous raids in their respective areas, resulting in the seizure of three vehicles linked to unauthorized mining activities.
The impounded vehicles include One Tractor Trolley with Registration No JK02CB-4543, seized by PS Akhnoor, One Dumper bearing Registration No JK14C 4974, apprehended by PS Jhajjar Kotli, and One Tractor Trolley identified by Chassis No WSTA30428150299, confiscated by PP Sidhra.
Led by SHO Police Station Akhnoor, SHO Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, and I/C PP Sidhra, these operations showcased a unified effort by the police force to tackle unlawful activities within their jurisdictions. Ensuring transparency, the District Mining Officer (DMO) Jammu was promptly informed of the seizures. The illegal mining activities were found to be in direct violation of the orders of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir.
