Jammu : In a decisive move against drug trafficking, Jammu Police made a major breakthrough by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering 06 grams of heroin. The successful operation took place in the jurisdiction of Police Post Narwal.
During a routine patrol near Shiv Mandir Narwal Chowk, a vigilant police team led by the in-charge of PP Narwal detained a suspected lady, later identified as Neha, wife of Rohit from Rajiv Nagar. A subsequent search revealed her possession of 06 grams of heroin.
Promptly, a case was registered under relevant sections at PS Bahu Fort, leading to the arrest of the accused lady. The investigation is currently underway, focusing on unraveling the intricate web of the drug supply chain. Thorough questioning of the arrested individual is going on to ascertain the origin of the seized narcotics.
