Tractor driver arrested for illegal transportation of minerals in Bla, tractor also seized: Police

Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has seized a tractor and arrested its driver for illegal transportation of minerals in Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHO Police Station Kreeri seized a tractor and arrested its driver identified as Javeed Ahmad Mir S/o Gh Qadir Mir R/o Saloosa Kreeri for illegal transportation of minerals at Saloosa Kreeri Baramulla.
Stating that police has registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Kreeri and also initiated further investigation into the case, Police in the concluding para of the above referred statement police appealed people not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules and warned that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
