Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has busted a militant module by arresting seven militant associates in Beerwah area of district Budgam.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the arrested militant associates identified as Romain Rasool Sheikh, Irfan Nazir Sheikh, Rizwan Nazir Sheikh, Sahil Javid Sheikh, all residents of Bonet Beerwah, Jahangir Bashir Mir, Tariq Ashraf Sheikh, both residents of Utligam Beerwah and Shakir Lateef Pathan resident of Gandhipora Beerwah were involved in the dissemination of anti-national propaganda by affixing provocative posters in and around Beerwah area.
Stating that the module was led by Romain Rasool Sheikh and Irfan Nazir Sheikh who during investigation were found manipulated by Pakistani LeT handler, Police in it’s statement further said that the incriminating materials have also been recovered from their possession, adding therein that further investigation is going on.
