He said aspirants of SI vacancies from kashmir region feel disillusioned to see alleged discrepancy in the selection list issued by the J&K SSB recently. He said the injustice needs to be done away with immediately to restore hope and confidence among the Kashmir based aspirants.
PDF Chairman said that the unemployment problem in Jammu and Kashmir has assumed an alarming proportion which was eating vitals of the society . He said unemployment in Kashmir was one of the several main causes of turmoil that has gripped the whole region since 1990 . “ Growing drug abuse and suicidal tendencies among the youth in Kashmir was also the outcome of grim unemployment problem ,“ Hakeem added while urging the government to focus its attention towards solving the problem . He has demanded monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 for all educated unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir , till a massive and holistic employment package is announced by the central government .
Hakeem said that responsibility for unrest and depression among the youth of Jammu and kashmir lies wholly and solly on the government as it has totally failed to work out an employment package for the youth. He has also made a fervent appeal to Prime Minister Narendera Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to rise to the occasion to address the unemployment crisis in Jammu and Kashmir by announcing an employment package . He said this goodwill gesture would go a long way to win hearts and minds of the common people especially the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir and would also help to bring a lasting peace in the region .
