DC Rajouri reviews progress of Power Sector projects, Inspects newly constructed Receiving Station at Pathanmohra

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of work on the power sector projects coming up in the district.
The primary focus of this meeting was to evaluate the status of the power sector projects undertaken as part of the District capex budget, capex, DDC, BDC, PRI grants, TSP and SSY.
It was informed that a total of 168 projects have been approved, with an impressive 38 projects already completed. These projects have been proposed to fortify the essential infrastructure, thereby ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the people of Rajouri.
The review also highlighted the progress under the RDSS scheme of the PDD sector. It was mentioned that work on 16 feeders has commenced, and four of them are expected to be completed in one week. Position of buffer stock and revenue realisation was also discussed wherein the DC was apprised about the achievement in this regard.
The meeting ended with a call to action for all officers involved in these projects, with a renewed commitment to ensuring that the people of Rajouri can soon enjoy a better quality of life, powered by reliable and uninterrupted electricity.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, SE PDD Rajouri; Sadiq Azad; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid along with other concerned officers.
Later, the DDC undertook a momentous site visit to the newly constructed 33/11 KV, 6.3 MVA Receiving Substation in Pathan Mohra (Dassal). The Strategic project, conceived to address overloading issues at the Kheora Receiving Substation, has unequivocally succeeded in enhancing the reliability of power supply to the public.
The recently commissioned Pathan Mohra (Dassal) Receiving Substation stands as a testament to the commitment of the Government to ensuring a seamless and robust power infrastructure.
The 33/11 KV, 6.3 MVA Receiving Substation in Pathan Mohra has been strategically positioned to alleviate the overloading concerns at the Kheora Receiving Substation. This move is poised to have a far-reaching impact on the efficiency and dependability of power supply in the district. The meticulous planning and execution of this project exemplify the proactive approach of the administration to addressing infrastructure challenges.
During the site visit, the Deputy Commissioner and accompanying officials had the opportunity to observe firsthand facilities and technology incorporated into the newly constructed substation.
The positive feedback received from the residents of the district underscores the immediate impact of the commissioning of the Pathan Mohra Receiving Substation. Improved power supply reliability has resulted in enhanced quality of life for the community, fostering a positive environment for economic activities and daily life.
Among others who accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during his visit were Superintending Engineer JPDCL Circle Rajouri Er. Sadiq Azad, Executive Engineer ED-Rajouri Er. Mohd Rashid, and Executive Engineer Project Wing (Division Rajouri) Er. R. K. Dabgotra.
