SKUAST-Jammu to hold 8th Convocation on 4th January 2024

Jammu :: SKUAST-Jammu is going to organize its 8th Convocation on 4th of January 2024. Jagdeep DhankharJi, Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha will be the Chief Guest and Manoj Sinha, LG, J&K & Chancellor SKUAST Jammu shall preside over the function.
Jagdeep Dhankhar, the 14th Vice President of India shall lead the Academic procession and will award medals to the meritorious students. Manoj Sinha, LG, J&K, the Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu will confer degrees to the professionals in agriculture and veterinary sciences.
SKUAST-Jammu is ‘Grade A’ University, accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, operating as a multi-campus and multi-district university. The 8thconvocation will be held in the state-of-art Baba Jitto Auditorium of SKUAST-Jammu, Chatha. Gold Medals, Merit Certificates and Degrees will be awarded to more than 500 Graduates and Post Graduates (Masters and Ph.D.) students of the University. The students from the faculty of Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Basic Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture & Forestry and School of Bio Technology shall be receiving their degrees and merit certificates. The students alongwith their parents will be attending the Convocation ceremony.
Prof. B.N. Tripathi Vice Chancellor of the University shall present the University report, highlighting the academic, research and extension activities. A large number of guests, including Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department J&K, Vice Chancellors of different universities, members of the university council and board of management will be attending the function.
