Baramulla : In anticipation to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024, the District Election office Baramulla on Monday organised an awareness session to ensure preparedness by conducting comprehensive information on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) syste
These Awareness camps, led by District Election office Baramulla appointed Master Trainers, are being conducted to equip government employees of the district with the necessary knowledge and skills. Furthermore, the election office has extended an open invitation to interested local citizens to actively participate in these Awareness sessions.
On the occasion, EVM and VVPATs Awareness session was held at Degree College Baramulla for the employees from the Baramulla Assembly Constituency.
The session was presided over by Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Election Registration Officer Baramulla Constituency who is also Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla. He impressed upon all employees to attend training sessions in order to get familiarity and ease of operation of EVMs and VVPATs for forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
These Awareness sessions serve as a pivotal preparatory step, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-versed and confident in utilizing the technology for a seamless electoral process during Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
On the occasion, Deputy District Election officer Baramulla Ab Rehaman Bhat, informed that awareness sessions have been successfully conducted to educate all employees from Rafiabad and Uri Assembly Constituencies and is currently being conducted for Baramulla Constituency. He further added that, Tangmarg, Pattan, Sopore, Zainger, Sangrama, and all other assembly constituencies would be covered in coming days.
Naib Tehsildar Election office Baramulla, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Master Trainers, Employees from different Government Departments and other concerned were present on the occasion.
