KH Snippets: LG Sinha’s Weeklong Engagement with Significant Public Events

Srinagar: Below is the timeline of the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha’s participation at significant even held across J&K this week:-Watch More


1.On 25 Dec, The Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, attended a function organized on Janm-Jayanti of Mahamana Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya and former PM Sh Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the Chief Guest in Ghazipur. In his address, he said Mahamana was one of the main architects of modern education and industrial development while Atal Bihari Vajpayee with his policies and public service laid the foundation of good governance in the country.
2. On 26th Dec, The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is restoring the past glory of India and building a prosperous and modern nation. The Lt Governor was speaking at a function to mark Juna Akhara Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri’s 25 years as Acharya Mahamandaleshwar at Harihar Ashram, Haridwar. Highlighting the contribution of Acharya Shri Swami Avdheshanand Giri’s contribution to the nation, he said, Swami has tirelessly worked for spiritual upliftment of people and to bring peace and prosperity in the society.
3. On Jammu 26th, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha participated in a function marking ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ at Gurudwara, Bhagwati Nagar. He also unveiled a statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, disciple of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and attended a ‘Shabad Kirtan’. The four Sahibzadas of Guruji were the embodiment of courage, valour and sacrifice. The life, ideals and bravery of Sahibzades is unparalleled in history, the LG said.
4. On Dec 27, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha welcomed Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh Ji at Raj Bhawan, Jammu.
5. On Dec 28, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar inaugurated J&K’s first festival of Inclusion, Purple Fest, which aims to showcase a kaleidoscope of abilities hidden inside disabilities and celebrating resilience of Divyangjan. The Purple Festival is also a call for action to the people and exhorts the society to take proactive steps in creating a more inclusive environment. The Hon’ble Union Minister had joined the function virtually. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Hon’ble Member of Parliament was also present.
6. On Dec 28th, 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the temporary Composite Regional Centre (CRC) for skill development, rehabilitation and empowerment of Divyangjan at Jammu. The facility will cater to rehabilitation services for different categories of Divyangjan besides skill development training for their empowerment.
7. On Dec 28th, December 28: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha attended the 9th convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, in Katra Saturday. Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he asked the students to be patient, pursue their dreams with passion and capitalize the opportunity to learn new skills. “In the journey of Amrit Kaal, the country needs young consciousness and youthful thinking. Youth will shape the future. The world is changing faster than ever before and youth need patience to capitalize the opportunity to learn new skills. Never stop chasing your dreams and keep walking until you achieve your mission in life,” the Lt Governor said.
