DC applauds success of Kathua Team in National Youth Exchange Prog

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas has congratulated the participants of the National Youth Exchange Program organized by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) for their success in different competitions organised during the event.
In a brief meeting in his office chamber, the DC Kathua appreciated the Kathua team of IRCS volunteers comprising 12 students and 2 dedicated JRC Counsellors who returned back after attending the program, held from December 24th to 29th, 2023.
The students who showcased exemplary skills and enthusiasm during the program are Pranav, Vansh, Vishwas, Akhil, Karan, Vishal, Ritika, Nitika, Riya, Anamika, Preeti, and Palak. The JRC Counsellors who guided them through this enriching experience were Sunil Jasrotia and Monika Khosla.
Under the guidance of IRCS Secretaries Om Prakash Sharma, Khem Raj Sharma, and Youth Red Cross Committee member Dimpy Sharma, the participants delved into the intricacies of first aid techniques and gained insights into diverse cultures from teams representing various states.
The Kathua contingent demonstrated exceptional prowess, securing victories in five out of the six events In Quiz Competition the Kathua team bagged First Place. In the Folk Song category, the team bagged Second Place. Similarly in the Group Song category the team bagged Second Place while in the Poster Making competition the team clinched Third Place. The Kathua team added another win by bagging third position in Poem Recitation.
This remarkable achievement was celebrated by CEO Kathua, Kishore Kumar, who also extended his warm congratulations to the talented students.
The National Youth Exchange Program has not only honed the participants’ skills but has also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and cultural exchange. The success of the Kathua team stands as a testament to the district’s commitment to nurturing talented youth.
