Anantnag : Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Dr. M Ashraf conducted a comprehensive review meeting to ensure seamless arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations in the district.
The meeting was convened at Dak Bungalow Khanabal, Anantnag where various aspects of the event were discussed to guarantee a successful and memorable celebration.
During the meeting, the importance and relevance of the National Day was elaborated threadbare.
At the outset, the ADC said the Republic day marks an important day in the history of our country. He said that as per tradition, celebrations must be held with zeal and enthusiasm. He directed the officers and agencies for making better coordination among themselves besides putting all requisite arrangements in place to make the National event a grand success.
During the meeting timing and schedule, security, sanitation and cleanliness, seating arrangements, medical facilities, power and water supply, illumination and decoration of the main venue, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, stage management and PA system installation, prize distribution besides other arrangements were reviewed for the ensuing National Event.
Concerned officers were directed to do their assigned jobs meticulously for ensuring smooth Republic Day celebration.
The meeting was informed that the main function shall be held at Government Degree College (Boys), Khanabal where the National Flag will be unfurled by the Chief Guest followed by parade by contingents from JK Police and other Security Forces. Further, colourful cultural programmes based on patriotism and nationalism, folk etc would also be presented.
The celebrations will also be held at the Subdivision and Tehsil levels.The respective SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to ensure the function becomes a success.
ADC urged everyone to work together diligently to make the event a grand success and a source of pride for the national event.

DC Rajouri reviews Republic Day arrangements
Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal on Saturday presided over a comprehensive meeting and meticulously reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
The discussion delved into various critical aspects, ranging from the fundamental necessities like drinking water, power supply, sanitation, and barricading, to the intricacies of security, traffic regulation, seating arrangements, and the strategic deployment of fire-tenders and medical tea
Emphasizing the paramount importance of timeliness, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal directed the officers to ensure that all requisite preparations are meticulously put in place well in advance. He also stressed on fostering a seamless synergy between different departments involved, underscoring the need for close collaboration to ensure the smooth and exuberant observance of this national event.
The Republic Day festivities are poised to commence with a melodious Shehnai Vadan orchestrated by the Information Department. The epicenter of the district-level celebration is set to unfold at the District Police Line in Rajouri.
The ceremonial unfurling of the national flag by the distinguished chief guest will mark the inauguration, paving the way for a captivating parade featuring contingents from the J&K Police, CRPF, NCC cadets, and the spirited participation of school children.
This meticulously planned event promises to be a testament to the coordinated efforts of various departments working in unison to ensure the success of this momentous occasion.
Officers who attended the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; General Manager DIC, Ashwini Sharma; SE Hydraulic, Bharam Jyoti Sharma; District Panchayat Officer, Auqil Nuvaid; CEO Education, Bishamber Dass and other concerned officers.
