Doda : In a pioneering move, Mission Director Dairy Development, N S Bali, inaugurated the “Dairy Darbar” program at Badroon Arnora village.
Being organized by Animal Husbandry department, Doda, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 100 progressive dairy farmers from the region.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Mayan ud Din Gures, presented an insightful overview of work done and raised awareness about various government schemes related to dairy sector.
Addressing the gathering, N S Bali acknowledged the challenges faced by milk producers, emphasizing the need for a proper market with remunerative prices, a concern being actively addressed by Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers’ Cooperative Limited (JKMPCL).
N S Bali assured the farmers that the J&K government is committed towards close monitoring and advancing dairy development in J&K , operating under a mission mode. He highlighted that JKMPCL provides the best rates among all state cooperatives, rendering dairy farming financially rewarding for both youth and rural farmers.
“The progress of milk producers is priority of LG administration which is earnestly implementing various schemes and policies in this regard. Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers’ Cooperative Limited leads the way in launching cutting-edge technology for high-quality processed milk and milk products,” Bali asserted.
During the program, N S Bali distributed free-of-cost medicines, including mineral mixtures and dosing, among all participating farmers. The “Dairy Darbar” also facilitated an interactive session where progressive dairy farmers shared their success stories showcasing the positive impact of government initiatives on their livelihoods. It not only symbolizes a leap forward in dairy development but also reflects the government’s hands-on approach in creating a thriving environment for dairy farmers in the region.
In a follow-up meeting held at CAHO office, N S Bali reviewed and discussed various dairy schemes and emphasized collaborative efforts in driving the dairy sector’s growth.
