Srinagar : The Union Home Ministry has approved promotion of Anand Jain (IG Jammu) and Nitish Kumar (IG,CID) as additional director generals of police(ADGPs).
According to an order issued by the Union Home Ministry Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar, IPS officers of 1999 batch will be deemed to have been promoted as ADGPs from 01.01.2024 or from the date from which they will assume charge, whichever is later.
The MHA order comes after the screening committee cleared their promotion proposal on Dec 20
