Jammu : Director General J&K Police R.R. Swain on Friday decorated the newly promoted IPS officers S Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar with ADGP rank in a piping ceremony held at Police Headquarters here. ADGP (Hqrs/Coord.) PHQ M.K Sinha was also present on the occasion.
According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre PHQ Jammu the DGP J&K congratulated the officers and their families and expressed hope that they will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the department and for the people. He wished them good luck for their future endeavours.
Both the IPS officers have held very important positions in J&k Police Department. Anand Jain has served as SDPO Ganderbal, SP East Srinagar, I/C SP Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, AIG (prov/Tpt.) PHQ, SSP Reasi, SSP Rajouri, SSP Jammu,CO-IRP-15th Bn. SSP Baramulla, IGP Hqrs. PHQ, Director Anti Corruption Bureau J&K. The officer is presently posted as IGP Jammu. Nitish Kumar has served as SDPO Nowshera, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, SP South Srinagar, SP Handwara, SP Pulwama, SSP Anantnag, AIG (CIV) PHQ, DIG SKR Anantnag, DIG NKR Baramulla, IGP Technical Services J&K. The officer is presently posted as IGP CID J&K.
