Tourist Town Kokernag embraces VBS Yatra with zest

Anantnag : A momentous demonstration of unwavering commitment to national progress, Administrator Associated Hospitals, Srinagar Hashmat Ali Yatoo joined the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the picturesque tourist town of Kokernag, Anantnag. This monumental journey underscores the government’s dedication to citizen welfare and the transformative impact of developmental initiatives.
During the ongoing yatra, Administrator Government medical college Srinagar Hashmat Ali Yatoo actively engaged with local residents, assessing the progress of various Central Government Schemes in the region. Thousands of enthusiastic participants commended the Central Government for effectively implementing flagship schemes, directly benefiting the people. Through several impactful events, the tangible outcomes of key initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and others were vividly showcased. The “Meri Kahani Meri Zabani” sessions allowed individuals to share firsthand experiences, highlighting the real impact of these schemes on their lives.
Hashmat Ali Yatoo personally interacted with beneficiaries, presenting certificates for schemes like Svanidhi, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (G) and PM Awas Yojana (U). Appreciation letters were conferred for notable achievements under Jal Jeevan Mission, PMeGP, and Swachh Bharat Mission.
The arrival of the Viksit Bharat Rath in Kokernag symbolizes the government’s steadfast commitment to continuous public welfare. Participants attentively listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recorded message, while beneficiaries shared success stories, emphasizing the tangible benefits derived from government welfare schemes.

Hashmat Ali Yatoo administered the “Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat” pledge to officials, PRI members, students, and citizens. Local school students presented cultural programs and quizzes, sensitizing the population about the objectives of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The event culminated with Hashmat Ali Yatoo inspecting stalls set up by various government departments, interacting with officers, and reviewing progress under different schemes on the ground.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues to resonate as a driving force for inclusive development and citizen welfare, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of progress.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has surpassed all expectations by bringing together over 2.30 lakh enthusiastic participants in District Anantnag.This extraordinary journey has seamlessly united citizens from every corner of Anantnag, extending its reach across 335 Gram Panchayats and 10 Urban local bodies, with its momentum steadily growing each passing day.
Traversing through 16 diverse blocks and 10 municipalities including areas marked by a vibrant tribal presence, the Yatra paints a compelling picture of empowerment and community engagement, fostering a collective vision for national development. The Yatra’s impact is palpable, creating a shared narrative of progress and inclusivity as it continues to resonate throughout the District Anantnag.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camps in District Anantnag have transformed into vibrant hubs, pulsating with activity as people enthusiastically engage in events and avail themselves of on-the-spot services. The health camps, a crucial facet of the Yatra, played a pivotal role by offering screenings to 93,000 individuals, addressing prevalent health concerns including TB (21000 screenings), sickle cell anemia (518 screenings), and non-communicable diseases.
This achievement not only reflects the Yatra’s impact in promoting health and well-being but also signifies its broader role in connecting citizens with essential government initiatives for their betterment.
Beyond being a mere journey, this Yatra stands as a resounding testament to India’s unwavering commitment to development, urging citizens to actively participate in the nation’s progress. The collective efforts of over 1700 dedicated My Bharat volunteers and an impressive 2.20 lakh individuals who pledged the transformative “Sankalp Pledge” in District Anantnag exemplifies a shared vision for positive change.
In recognition of outstanding contributions, accolades were bestowed upon noteworthy contributors, including 1000 remarkable women, 2500 dedicated students, 250 local artists adding cultural vibrancy, and 350 accomplished sports personalities. This acknowledgment not only celebrates individual excellence but also underscores the diversity and inclusivity inherent in India’s developmental journey.
Diversifying from its agricultural focal point, the Yatra proactively involved farmers through a comprehensive outreach, encompassing 44 enlightening drone demonstrations and hundreds of in-depth Soil Health Card demonstrations. This strategic initiative aimed at fostering awareness and promoting the adoption of sustainable Natural Farming practices among the farming community.
In a commendable display of success, government flagship schemes celebrated significant milestones. Notably, over 200 GPs achieved a commendable 100% JJM (Jal Jeevan Mission) saturation, underscoring the robust reach and impact of the initiatives. Furthermore, a noteworthy achievement was marked by 335 instances attaining ODF+ (Open Defecation Free Plus) status, reflecting the concerted efforts towards improved sanitation and hygiene.Of particular significance is the noteworthy registration of 2500 individuals for the PM Ujjwala Yojana, underscoring the resounding success of the campaign in effectively disseminating information and creating awareness about pivotal government welfare schemes.
These achievements not only underscore the Yatra’s commitment to holistic development but also highlight the tangible and transformative outcomes within the realms of agriculture, water management, and sanitation. Such commendable progress serves as a testament to the effectiveness of the Yatra in catalyzing positive change across diverse sectors.
At the core of this enchanting event were the myriad tales of individual triumphs, as 10000 beneficiaries poured their hearts into the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” sessions.
