Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays floral tribute to late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary at ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial in New Delhi

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid floral tributes to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 99th birth anniversary at ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial in New Delhi.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, BJP President JP Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and several other leaders paid their floral tributes to Vajpayee.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is organizing several events across the country to mark the 99th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Monday, celebrated as “Good Governance Day”.

Earlier, on Social Media post X Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “He remained engaged in accelerating nation building throughout his life”.

“On behalf of all the family members of the country, I pay my deepest respects to former Prime Minister respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji on his birth anniversary. He remained engaged in accelerating nation building throughout his life. His dedication and service towards Mother India will remain a source of inspiration even in his immortal age” he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid his tributes to form Prime Minister Vajpayee and said “Atal ji served the country and society selflessly and gave a new direction to nationalist politics in the country through the establishment of the BJP”.

“While on one hand he made the world realize the power of emerging India through nuclear testing and Kargil war, on the other hand he implemented the vision of good governance in the country.

The country will always remember his immense contribution”.

Paying tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee JP Nadda said his entire life dedicated to national upliftment and public service.

“I pay my deepest respect to the pinnacle of Indian politics, our pathfinder, former Prime Minister, ‘Bharat Ratna’ Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji on his birth anniversary. Your entire life dedicated to national upliftment and public service will always remain our inspiration” he said on X.

December 25 marks the birth anniversary of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, an ex-Prime Minister and a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and was elected three times as the nation’s prime minister.
