Srinagar : Outreach and drop in centre (ODIC) Srinagar run by NESSWO project of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment organized two days awareness programme on the menace of drug abuse at Hamdania Colony Bemina & Alamgari Bazar Srinagar in collaboration with District Social Welfare Department and Educational Trust of Kashmir, Srinagar on 22 and 23 December, 2023.
The programme was attended by the community members of the locality and students of different coaching centres.
The speakers explained the adverse effects of drug abuse among youngsters and suggested ways and means how to eradicate the menace.
The programme ended with a pledge by all participants that they would take the message to all families that they should keep an eye on the activities of youngsters in the society lest they fall a prey to drug addiction.
The National Educational Society & Social Welfare Organization has played a vital role by extending awareness programmes.
