Yasha Mudgal chairs meeting to review SSR of Electoral Rolls in Udhampur

Udhampur : Commissioner Secretary Cooperatives, Yasha Mudgul, who is also the Roll Observer for Udhampur district, on Thursday convened a meeting with Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officers and Supervisors to assess progress on the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls for the year 2023.
Yasha Mudgul conducted a comprehensive review of progress achieved in the district under ongoing SSR-2023 and gathered information on the number of fresh applications received, as well as the count of claims and objections in the district.
EROs briefed the Commissioner Secretary about the progress and ongoing work concerning SSR of Photo Electoral Rolls in their respective Assembly Constituencies.
Mudgal exhorted upon the officials to ensure completion of the revision, encompassing addition of new voters, rectification of omissions, and deletion of duplicate entries, within the stipulated timeline.
Emphasizing the need for dedication and efficiency, Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to mobilize resources and complete the SSR 2023 process within the given timeline, aiming for 100 percent enrolment of eligible voters.
Yasha Mudgul also stressed on the importance of timely disposal of claims and objections. She asked the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to finalize the special summary revision before the due date.
Earlier, District Election Officer, Udhampur, Saloni Rai, provided a detailed overview of the ongoing special summary revision in Udhampur district.
