Sarmad affirms “1000 online services signify paradigm shift in public governance”
Shopian : Under the ambitious outreach programme of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), Secretary, Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Sarmad Hafeez, on Thursday visited remote Heerpora Panchayat situated on the Mughal Road in Shopian district.
The rural outreach programme witnessed overwhelming participation of public and other stakeholders. Besides, DDC Council members, BDC members and PRI representatives also graced the occasion.
Secretary administered pledge of Viksit Bharat among the participants and then visited the stalls set up by various departments for raising awareness, on-spot service delivery, and registration of beneficiaries for various services.
Sarmad Hafeez appreciated the robust and hassle free mechanism of government services. He said, tremendous benefits under hundreds of schemes are being provided to the people through online mode, within timelines. He also highlighted the health sector schemes of AB PMJAY while elaborating how it is helping people to avail healthcare services free of cost.
While appreciating NRLM activities in the area in marketing agricultural produce, he called upon the local people, especially youth to venture into different self employment entreprises for their economic development.
He termed VBSY, a novel connect initiative, by way of which the administration is attending the people’s issues at their doorsteps and promoting engagement of people in developmental trajectory.
Secretary commended the district administration for their efforts in saturating the public welfare schemes. He added that the need of the hour is to give wide publicity to government schemes so that the benefits reach the unreached and all eligible population is covered.
Other speakers highlighted the objectives of the VBSY program while public representatives and activists projected various demands related to youth services, sports development and other public welfare issues.
Sarmad Hafeez listened to the issues and called upon officers to proactively take the demands into consideration for appropriate action.
During the event, IEC vans created awareness among the people regarding various Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Besides, calendars and other IEC material was distributed among the public. The event witnessed a captivating display of cultural performances by the local artists.
Secretary also distributed Sports Kits among the youth of the area in order to equip them for pursuing the sports activities.
ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, expressed gratitude towards the people for their active participation while presenting concluding remarks.

Baramulla : Braving freezing temperatures and emphasizing a collective commitment to progress, the residents of Gund-KhawajaQasim Pattan led by Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Syed Faheem on Thursday exhibited exceptional spirit showing up in great numbers in an event organized under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY).

The day commenced with the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van, adorned with messages of progress, receiving a warm welcome, setting the stage for an informative and inspiring event. The program was initiated with a video message from the Prime Minister, urging all present to pledge towards building a self-reliant India by 2047.
Accompanied by Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, Javid Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Shabir Ahmad Hakak, and other concerned officers, SDM Pattan inspected stalls showcasing initiatives by various departments. The diverse efforts highlighted the commitment to improving lives and received commendation from the SDM.
Applauding the overwhelming participation, SDM Pattan reiterated the Prime Minister’s vision, encouraging active public engagement in spreading the Yatra’s transformative message. Pulwama : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continued its impactful journey, having traversed the Panchayats with unwavering momentum; the Yatra reached the urban areas, engaging with Municipal Committees and Municipal Council of the District.
A monumental event unfolded within the limits of Municipal Council Pulwama at Government Central School Pulwama, marking a significant chapter in the Yatra’s expedition.
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Sanket Kulkarni, Joint Director of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme at the National Centre for Disease Control, New Delhi. Besides, the event was attended by ACD Pulwama, CMO Pulwama and other District and Sectoral officers.

The proceedings commenced with a thorough inspection of stalls, skillfully set up by various Government departments, showcasing their schemes and initiatives. VBSY Van reaches Panchayat Muthi: Maira, spreads message of PM Modi, Comr Secy chairs mega event, interacts with locals
Jammu : As part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a special van reached panchayat Muthi Maira of Bhalwal Brahmana block on Thursday amid high enthusiasm among the members of Swagat Committee, locals and PRI members in presence of officials of line departments.
Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment, Rehana Batul, presided over a VBSY event organised on the occasion. Rehana Batul, after watching video message of the Prime Minister through VBSY van, urged upon the people to work for progress and prosperity of the country. The people present at the event took the pledge and expressed their commitment towards nation building.
The event began with the national anthem followed by mesmerising cultural performances by the students of Government Higher Secondary School Muthi Maira, who showcased their talent and enthusiasm through songs, dances and skits. The audience appreciated the efforts of the young artists and encouraged them with applause.
Representatives of the line departments also presented their stalls and explained various schemes and programmes run by the government for the public welfare. They also distributed pamphlets and brochures among the people and answered their queries.
During the event, AYUSHMAN Golden Cards were distributed among the eligible beneficiaries, who can avail free healthcare services under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

VBS Yatra: Mandeep Kaur visits Panchayat Kheral, block Pouni
Reasi : Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur, on Thursday visited Duggar Dhani, Kheral panchayat in Pouni block as part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign to spread awareness and ensure saturation of flagship schemes of the government.
She presided over a mega event organized under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra besides chairing a public outreach programme aimed at saturating all government schemes and enhancing awareness among the local population.
In a momentous occasion marked by the celebration of Viksit Bharat, an initiative aimed at fostering development and progress, a special message by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, resonated with the audience. The event showcased a series of development videos, providing a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects and future initiatives.
While addressing the gathering, Commissioner Secretary emphasized the Prime Minister’s vision behind the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) of ensuring widespread awareness among rural masses, reaching the unreached population and facilitating utilization of government welfare schemes. Mandeep Kaur praised the beneficiaries and expressed satisfaction over the impact of PM’s schemes in remote areas. She also highlighted Jammu and Kashmir as a shining example of the success of Ayushman Bharat, which has reduced the out-of-pocket expenditure of the households for medical care.
Commissioner Secretary, along with DDC Chairman and District Development Commissioner, conducted a comprehensive inspection of stalls set up by various government departments. These stalls showcased a wide array of schemes pertaining to agriculture, horticulture, health, animal husbandry, social welfare, handicraft, handloom, and other key sectors.
Beneficiaries from diverse walks of life came forward to share their success stories, shedding light on the substantial advantages gained from government welfare schemes. During the event, Commissioner Secretary distributed motorised tricycles, Abhinandan Patra, Pension letters among the beneficiaries.

Jammu : The Department of English, Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, organized a captivating Poetry Recitation Competition, showcasing the literary talent of students. The event was conducted under the distinguished banner of VIKSIT BHARAT @ 2047, focusing on the theme “The Future Unfolded: My Perspective on India in 2047.”
The esteemed gathering was graced by the presence of the college Principal, Prof Minu Mahajan, who delivered an insightful speech, emphasizing the importance of creative expression and the profound impact it holds on envisioning the future of our nation.
Prof Archana Bakshi, Head, Department of English also shared her thoughts on the occasion, highlighting the significance of poetry as a medium for social reflection and change. The event witnessed an array of performances that eloquently conveyed diverse perspectives on the future of India.
Distinguished members of the faculty, Prof Archana Bakshi, Dr Jyoti Dutt, and Dr Shakun Mahajan, served as the esteemed jury for the competition, evaluating the participants based on their poetic expression, delivery, and adherence to the theme.
After an intense and thought-provoking competition, the coveted first position was secured by Massarat, followed by Reetika and Taranjeet Kour at the second position, Boomie Manhas securing the third position and Hafsa got the consolation prize. The winners showcased exceptional talent, weaving words that painted vivid pictures of their vision for India in 2047.

VBS Yatra reaches Kharah Balli block amid massive public participation
Jammu: A special van under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra initiative reached panchayat Kharah of block Kharah Balli on Thursday, where it was greeted by a large gathering of local residents, Swagat Committee members, Panchayat Raj Institution representatives and officials of various departments.
The van played a video message of the PM, in which he appealed to the people to take a vow to work for the development and welfare of the country. The people who attended the event took the Sankalp (pledge) and expressed their support to the PM’s vision.
The event also featured cultural programmes by the students of Government Higher Secondary School Kharah, who enthralled the audience with their songs, dances and skits. The performances highlighted the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the country and the need to preserve and promote it.
The representatives of various departments also set up stalls and displayed the schemes and programmes launched by the government for the benefit of the public. They also distributed leaflets and booklets to the people and clarified their doubts and queries.
The event also witnessed the distribution of AYUSHMAN Golden Cards to the eligible beneficiaries, who can avail free health care services under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). Certificates to Progressive Farmers were also given to acknowledge their efforts in enhancing agricultural productivity and income. Sanction letters of old age and widow pensions were also handed over to the deserving applicants on the spot.
The VBSY Van is a part of the nationwide campaign to spread the message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence.
GDC Vijaypur organises Run for Viksit Bharat
Samba : As part of the series of events being organised under “Viksit Bharat@2047 Abhiyan” a run for Viksit Bharat was organised by the NSS Unit (Khidmat) of the college.
The run was flagged off by Prof. Anita Jamwal, Nodal Officer Viksit Bharat from the college campus towards nearby village and back to campus. Students of the college and NSS volunteers participated in the run with great enthusiasm, passion and zeal.
While speaking on the event, Prof. Anita Jamwal said that taking part in sports activities is important for the youth as it reduces stress, enhances their mood and keeps them away from anti-social activities. She further stated that sports build healthy bones and muscles, increase fitness, improves sleep, and helps them socialize. It also improves their cooperation skills, boosts self-confidence, and lowers the risk of getting obese.

Jammu : The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, an initiative dedicated to spreading awareness about governm ent schemes and development, arrived in Kanyala Panchayat of Dansal Block on Thursday.
A specially decorated VBSY Van rolled into the Panchayat, warmly welcomed by Swagat Committee members, PRI members, local dignitaries and the Vice Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Kahpota. Representatives from departments like Health, Agriculture, Education, Horticulture, Social Welfare and Forests were also present.
The event began with the national anthem, followed by a message from the Prime Minister displayed on the van. Inspired by his words, the Panchayat residents took the Sankalp pledge, vowing to contribute to making India a developed nation by 2047.
Students from Government Higher Secondary School Kahpota enthralled the audience with captivating cultural performances. Departmental officials then set up informative stalls, distributed pamphlets and addressed queries about various government schemes. Free healthcare services were also available during the event.
Addressing the public, officials highlighted the Government of India’s vision for a developed India and explained the benefits of the government programs for well-being of citizens.
