VBS Yatra leaves indelible mark at Mearth Panchayat of Kathua

Kathua : The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reached a significant milestone with a monumental event held at Mearth Panchayat in Kathua. The event was presided over by Kavita Garg, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, designated as the Prabhari Officer for Kathua district.
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, Joint Secretary Kavita Garg expressed her delight over the growing momentum the yatra has gained in the peripheral areas of Kathua district. She emphasized the profound positivity reflected in the firsthand feedback received from beneficiaries, underscoring the impactful transformation brought about by the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the lives of the people.
Garg highlighted the yatra’s objective of reaching every citizen, foreseeing a pivotal change in the lives of those who, for various reasons, had remained untouched by the government’s beneficial schemes.
During the event, sanctioned letters for the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) were distributed by the Joint Secretary. Prior to this, she meticulously inspected stalls set up by different departments aimed at disseminating information about different government schemes to the masses and ensuring the saturation of respective departmental progra
Earlier, Raghunandan Singh, Vice Chairman of the District Development Council (DDC), addressed the audience, urging citizens to avail maximum benefits offered through tailor-made government schemes and progra He emphasized the importance of staying informed and aligned with the evolving aspirations of the country, echoing the vision of the Prime Minister to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.
The event at Panchayat Mearth not only showcased the impactful strides of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra but also highlighted the concerted efforts of government officials to ensure inclusive growth and prosperity across the district of Kathua.
Earlier, scintillating cultural performances were also presented by students of Government Middle School, Mearth.
The event culminated with the administering of the Viksit Bharat Pledge amongst the participants by the Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYU
Among others present at the event were DC Kathua Rakesh Minhas, BDC Chairperson Barnoti Brijeshwer Singh, PRI members besides district and sectoral officers.
