Srinagar : Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) and a former Minister has said that the leaders of Jammu carrying a burden of blunders of the past have a golden opportunity to seek guarantees on restoration of constitutional rights to Jammu and Kashmir from INDIA Alliance Opposition bloc as it’s partners.
In a statement issued by here on Thursday Hakeem called upon the J&K leaders to seek implementation of 1975 accord signed by late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah more firmly than insisting for seat sharing for two or three Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir.
Stating that people of J&K would surely repose faith in it’s leaders only if they seek guarantees on restoration of constitutional position to Jammu and Kashmir as stipulated in 1975 Indira Abdullah accord, the J&K PDF Chairman said “ had leaders of Jammu and Kashmir sought constitutional safeguards from any one of the successive erstwhile central governments , the incumbent Central Government won’t have scraped the constitutional position of erstwhile J&K state enjoyed by it under Article 370 and Article 35 A”. Calling upon the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir to seek constitutional rights of Jammu and Kashmir on land, jobs, law making and the status of a full fledged state from I.N.D.I.A Alliance Opposition Bloc , Hakeem impressed upon them not to be in alliance with the country’s mainland opposition just for seat sharing and power just to repeat blunders of the past but enter into an agreement with I.N.D.I.A Alliance opposition bloc for restoration of constitutional rights of Jammu and Kashmir as are enjoyed by several other states of the country.
