DC Srinagar holds Mega Public Grievance Redressal camp at Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh

DC Leads VBS Yatra aimed at seamless reach of Govt Welfare Schemes to every corner of the Distt

Says “VBS Yatra IEC Van a guarantee to Welfare and Inclusive Dev of people, Mujgund-Panzinara Road works completed at a cost of Rs 5.30 Cr fulfill long pending demand of people”

Srinagar : In order to listen the Public Grievances at their doorsteps and ensure their time bound redressal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Wednesday undertook an extensive tour of Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh area in the outskirts of Srinagar District and presided over a Public Grievance Redressal Camp as a part of Public Outreach Programme under weekly Block Diwas.
The Programme witnessed a large participation of people from Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh, Mirgud, Panzianra and other adjoining areas of the Tehsil Shalteng of Srinagar District.
The Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Tehsildar Shalteng and other Zonal and Sectoral Officers of the District.
During the Grievance Redressal Camp, Public delegations and scores of individuals raised various developmental issues before the Deputy Commissioner including, upgradation of Dispensary to Primary Health Centre, upgradation of High School to Higher Secondary School, construction of Community facilitation centre for social functions, augmentation of electric wires, poles & transformers, augmentation of drinking water supply, providing better services of Revenue related matters, reliable public transport facility and above all resolution of jurisdictional issues in the area.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all the grievances and demands put forth by the public and sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public at their doorsteps without visiting the Government Offices.
On the occasion, the DC urged the people of Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh, Mujgund, Panzianra and other areas particularly local youth to come forward and avail the benefits of different welfare schemes of the Government launched for handholding of the youth so that they earn livelihood with dignity and honour.
With regard to the demand to resolve jurisdictional issues of local people, the DC said that the issue has already been taken up with concerned higher authorities and the issue will be settled soon.
The DC assured the people of Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh and other adjoining areas that all other genuine demands and issues projected by them will be looked into on priority for their speedy redressal.
The DC also directed for holding a special camp by the Departments of Social Welfare, Health, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Sericulture, Banks etc to sensitize people about the various welfare and flagship schemes.
On the occasion, people of the area thanked the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar for conducting a public outreach programme in the Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh area.
They also thanked the District Administration Srinagar for completing the Mujgund-Panzinara Road under PMGSY at a cost of Rs 5.30 crore thereby fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh.
During the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, the Deputy Commissioner also led Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra(VBSY), as a special VBSY Mobile IEC Van reached the venue.
The VBSY Van was accorded a warm welcome by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar in presence of members of the Swagat Committee along with prominent persons and large gathering of people of the area.
The VBSY Van displayed the message of the Prime Minister and also spread the awareness among people aimed to ensure seamless reach of Government welfare programmes/flagship schemes to the farthest corners of the District
On the occasion, the DC said that the primary objectives of the Yatra include disseminating information, fostering awareness, and establishing direct interaction with beneficiaries, besides achieving saturation of all schemes and enhancing awareness among the populace.
He said the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra focuses on both urban and rural areas, highlighting key schemes such as PM Svanidhi, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana (Urban), SBM(Urban), Subhagya Yojana, Digital Payment infrastructure, Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, PMGKAY, DAY-NRLM, PM Awas Yojana Rural, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM KISAN Saman, PM Vishwakarma, KCC, PM Poshan Abhiyan, JJM and SVAMITVA.
