ACR reviews winter preparedness, Stock, supply position of essential commodities in Ramban Distt

Ramban : Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ramban, Giasul Haq on Monday reviewed the winter preparedness including stock and supply position of essential commodities here at a meeting of Sub Divisional level officers.
Reviewing the arrangements made by the stakeholder departments to deal with winter challenges in Tehsil Ramban, Batote and Rajgarh, the ACR directed the officers to submit a report on a daily basis about essential services and supplies to people of the areas.
The Chair was informed that PWD (R&B) is taking care of maintenance of 4 roads including Amarchashma to Nathatop, Patnitop to Sanasar and Kunda to Bhata via Saldan while PMGSY is manning 16 roads in snowbound areas of Tehsil Ramban, Rajgarh and Batote.
The ACR also reviewed the pace of progress on different ongoing developmental projects besides taking stock of land compensation cases pertaining to road projects being executed by the PWD and PMGSY Department.
The officers of JKPDCL apprised that a total 4 hours power cut in urban and 6 hours cut in rural areas have been scheduled and 40 transformers have been kept in buffer stock with the Department. The damaged transformers are being replaced within 24 hours, they informed.
The ACR directed the officers JPDCL to intensify the drives against power theft and disconnect illegal connections to save power and revenue losses of the department. He also directed officers to ensure power cuts shall not exceed more than 8 hours including SLDC.
It was informed that advance stocking of ration has already been made by the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in snowbound areas for three months including Rajgarh, Sanasar and Gandhri.
Reviewing status of 36 Jal Jeevan Mission projects taken up by the Jal Shakti Department in three tehsils, the ACR also directed officers to ensure adequate quality water supply in the areas.
Meanwhile, the ACR also reviewed the Health services being provided by the Department to the patients and directed them to keep ready their Health centres to deal with any emergency situation.
