Awantipora The core committee members of National Child Development Council during their recent meeting have hailed the government’s decision to introduce sex education in schools, and called it a welcome step.
The members said that it is mandatory to implement sex education in schools as it creates awareness among the students about several relevant things. As per experts, Sex education is essential in schools, “because it informs students about reproductive health, related organs, adolescence, and sexually transmitted diseases.” One of the NCDC members has said that, “besides implementing sex education in schools, there should be harsher punishments for Sexual Violence.” Notably, National Child Development Council (NCDC) is an autonomous national child welfare organization, established to promote the welfare of women and children, besides ensuring education of children in India. https://ncdconline.org/ is the official website of NCDC.
