Training prog on scientific Beekeeping under (HADP) held at Tral

Pulwama : One day sub district level training programme on scientific beekeeping under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) was held at townhall in South Kashmir’s Tral on Thursday.
The training session was presided over by Joint Director Agriculture, Kashmir, Ghulam Mohammad Dhobi and was attended by DDC member Tral, Dr Harbakash Singh, Incharge ADC Tral, Zaffar Hussain Shawl, Chief Agriculture Officer, Pulwama, Mohammad Iqbal Khan, SDAO Tral, Shakeel Ahmad Shah, BDO Tral, Dr Mohammad Ashraf, Tehsildar Tral, Sajad Ahmad, Agriculture Extenion Officers, and a large number of beekeepers.
Addressing the session, Joint Director Agriculture, GM Dhobi highlighted the importance of beekeeping, and called Tral sub district, a better place for the industry, while he enlightened farmers about some beneficial programmes and schemes of the department.
ADC Tral, Zaffar Hussain Shawl, and Chief Agriculture Officer Mohammad Iqbal Khan also interacted with the participants, and asked them to avail the schemes comes under Agriculture department, besides listening to their grievances. Meanwhile, DDC member, Tral Dr Harbakash Singh hailed the efforts of department for organising such camps, but has suggested them to “ensure maxium participation of general people in these programs, so that everyone, rather than some specific beekeepers, may come to know about the schemes.” He said that everyone particularly PRIs and media should play the main role in making the people aware about the schemes being provided by the department.
