Drug Peddler booked under PITNDPS at Police Station Akhnoor Jammu: Police

Jammu : Police on Thursday said that it has booked a drug peddler under PITNDPS at Police Station Akhnoor of Jammu district.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that it received an input at Police Station Akhnoor about one drug peddler namely Rohit Dutta @ Rohit S/O Hoshiar Chand R/O Rah Salyote Teh Chowki Choura who was evading his arrest in multiple cases.
Stationg that following inputs special police teams of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Police Station Akhnoor raided at the suspected place and arrested the drug peddler, stating therein that a warrant under PITNDPS vide order No. 61 of 2023 dated 20/11/2023 under section 3 was also issued against the accused by Divisional commissioner Jammu. Police in it’s statement also that the said accused was habitual of indulging in criminal activities and there were various NDPS Act cases in which accused was involved and cases include(1) Case FIR No. 130/2020 US 304A, 8/21 NDPS Act of P/S Kandi, (2) Case FIR No. 67/2021 U/s 8/20/25 NDPS Act of P/S Nowabad, (3) Case FIR No. 43/2023 U/s 8/21 NDPS Act of P/S Akhnoor, (4) Case FIR No. 146/2023 US 451/323/504/506 IPC of PS Akhnoor and (5) Preventive measure U/S 107/117 Crpc P/s Akhnoor.
In the concluding para of it’s statement Police said that said accused has been sent to District Jail Kathua.
