DDC concludes two-day Visit to Mahore Sub-divn, Resolves vital issues through Community Engagement

Reasi : District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, undertook a two-day visit to Mahore Sub-division with a focus on fostering community engagement and addressing local issues. As part of this initiative, DDC Mahajan conducted grievance redressal camp at High School Lar in the Gulabgarh block in Reasi District.
The event served as a platform for interaction between the DDC and the residents of Gulabgarh block. During the event, DDC Mahajan engaged in discussions with the community, addressing their concerns, and gaining insights into the challenges faced by the locals.
The community raised several crucial issues during the event, highlighting challenges related to electricity, water supply, road connectivity, filling of vacant posts in schools, healthcare, upgradation of middle school, the opening of Khidmat Centres , and the construction of a hospital building.
The DDC emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting sustainable development in the region. He highlighted various ongoing initiatives and outlined future plans aimed at enhancing infrastructure, education, healthcare, and overall well-being in the Gulabgarh block.
He attentively listened to the grievances and assured the residents that their concerns would be addressed on a priority basis.
Speaking at the event, DDC Mahajan announced an ambitious goal, declaring that all ongoing and sanctioned road projects will be completed and initiated in the Gulabgarh block by 30th of April. He directed the Chief Education Officer Reasi to expeditiously resolve the issues related to schools of the area.
For economic growth in the area, the DDC called upon the youth to connect with the agro sector and explore opportunities in tourism. He highlighted the availability of government schemes to support and incentivize initiatives in these sectors, encouraging young residents to actively participate in the economic development of the Gulabgarh block. Telephonically contacting the Director of Health during the Block Diwas, DDC Mahajan emphasized the need to examine and address all health-related issues in the Gulabgarh block promptly.
Furthermore, he expressed his commitment to grassroots engagement by personally visiting the far-flung areas of the Gulabgarh block. He announced the organization of block diwas in these remote locations to directly address the concerns and issues faced by the residents.
In a significant development for the Mahore Subdivision, the District Development Commissioner Reasi, said during a public gathering, announced that the banking sector and Khidmat Centre will soon be made operational in the Gulabgarh block. He assured the community that plans are afoot to enhance and expand the road network in Gulabgarh.
During the tour, DDC Mahajan personally assessed the progress of road infrastructure projects, underlining the administration’s commitment to ensure quality and timely completion. He interacted with the concerned authorities and workers on-site, emphasizing the importance of robust road networks for the overall development and connectivity of the region.
Additionally, the DDC visited health institutions in the area, inspecting facilities and services.
DDC Vice Chairperson Sajra, PO Poshan Mohd. Anwar Banday, ACD, SDM Mahore, CEO, Chief Agriculture Officer, SDPO Mahore, PRI Members and other district officers present on the occasion.
