Srinagar: The teaching and non-teaching staff of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Monday virtually attended the inaugural session of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of Youth,’ which was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office NIT, Srinagar the event was inaugurated by PM Modi via video conferencing at 10:30 a.m., during which he also launched the Viksit Bharat @2047 ideas portal.
Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Sudhakar Yedla, along with several other esteemed faculty members, participated in ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ at Raj Bhawan Jammu. The event was graced by the presence of Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha.
Simultaneously, the live video conferencing of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ was held at the Hi-Tech 5 Seminar Hall of the Institute. The event witnessed the participation of In-charge Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman, Deans, Heads of Departments (HoDs), faculty members, and administrative and ministerial staff.
The session delved into discussions on diverse themes, including empowered Indians, a thriving and sustainable economy, innovation and science and technology, good governance and security, and India’s global standing.
On the occasion, Prof. Atikur Rehman said the significance of PM Narendra Modi’s speech, highlighted the current period as “Amrit Kaal,” representing a crucial moment in India’s history. He reiterated NIT Srinagar’s commitment to contributing to the realization of Viksit Bharat@2047 goals and actively participating in societal development.
“As part of the program, we will encourage students to share their ideas on the vision of Viksit Bharat. The institute will designate existing IT Labs/Library as a Viksit Bharat Ideation Center, facilitating students to submit feedback forms from 11th Dec to 25th Dec 2023,” he said.
Prof. Rehman urged students to seize opportunities for national development, aligning their goals and resolutions with the vision of a Developed India. He emphasized the vital role of youth in leading India towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The event witnessed the participation of Vice-Chancellors of universities, Directors of IITs and NITs, academicians, and students. The vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 is to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of its independence. It encompasses economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance.

SP college attends launch of Viksit Bharat@2047 by Prime Minister
Srinagar : As part of the post event launch of Viksit Bharat @2047 by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Sri Pratap College, Srinagar on Monday organised an Interactive Session with Vinod Kumar Bhat, CIO, Vistara.
Earlier in the morning, the faculty and the students witnessed the live streaming of the formal launch of the Viksit Bharat @2047 in its auditorium by Prime Minister of the country. The event was well organized by the dedicated team assigned for the purpose headed by Dr. Javaid Hassan, NSS PO and Prof. Aijaz Magray, IT.
The post event Session was thrown open by Principal of the College, Prof (Dr) Prof. Ghulam Jeelani Qurashi. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the college provided a holistic overview of the forthcoming journey of the country in attaining the feat of a developed nation by 2047.
The event was attended by a good number of students in the online mode from their respective places. The guest speaker interacted with the students and answered many questions ranging from the future of India vis a-vis new trends in technology, future of IA, need of skill – based courses in college etc.
While answering, the guest speaker voiced a hope that India shall emerge as a technological giant given the recent developments in technology. Prof Jan Mohammad, Assistant Professor, English conducted the proceedings.

IUST hosts live VIKSIT Bharat @2047
Awantipora : The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) recently hosted a program on “Viksit Bharat @2047.” The event featured a live online speech by the Honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, which was attended by esteemed faculty members including Deans, Directors, Controller of Examinations, Heads of Departments, and officers, along with enthusiastic NSS volunteers.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, following the live telecast, participants engaged in meaningful discussions, sharing their reflections on various critical aspects such as education, innovation, sustainable development, and community engagement. The diverse range of topics covered during the event provided a comprehensive perspective on the multifaceted journey towards the envisioned Viksit Bharat in 2047.
Dr. Tariq A. Ganaie, Coordinator NSS at IUST, played a pivotal role in encouraging students to actively participate in platforms like Viksit Bharat. He emphasized that such engagement aligns with the university’s commitment to nurturing responsible and informed citizens who are poised to make positive contributions to society. Dr. Ganaie’s guidance underscores the importance of active involvement in discussions and initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of students and the broader community.
The event showcased the university’s dedication to fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness among its students, preparing them for active and meaningful contributions to the nation’s growth and development. The insightful discussions and reflections shared during Viksit Bharat @2047 undoubtedly contribute to shaping well-informed and socially conscious individuals within the IUST community.

Jammu/Ganderbal: Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath along with some of the faculty members from different disciplines in the university joined the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha Ji, at Raj Bhawan, on the launch of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ workshop, kick started by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, through the webcast on Monday.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office Central University of Kashmir, Srinagar the Prime Minister addressed Vice-Chancellors of Universities, Heads of Institutes, and faculty members through the online mode during the workshops organized at Raj Bhawans across the country. These workshops initiated the process of engaging youth to share their ideas and suggestions for Viksit Bharat @2047, the vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of its independence. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance, among others.
Speaking on the occasion Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined the need to channelise the energy of the students and the youth of every university towards achieving the common goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Noting the diversity of ideas, the Hon’ble Prime Minister stressed linking all the streams towards building a developed India. Shri Modi urged everyone to go beyond their limits to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. He suggested running special campaigns in every college and university in the country to connect more and more youth with this campaign. The Hon’ble Prime Minister mentioned the launch of Ideas Portal related to Viksit Bharat and informed that suggestions can be given on five different themes.
Narendra Modi said that India is going to be the leader in terms of the working-age population for the coming 25-30 years and the world recognizes this. “Youth power is both the agent of change and also the beneficiaries of change”, PM Modi said. He emphasized that the next 25 years are going to be decisive for the careers of the youth in colleges and universities of today. The Prime Minister stressed moulding the voice of the country’s youth into the policy strategy for building a developed India and highlighted the role of educational institutions that maintain maximum contact with the youth.
Elaborate and extensive arrangements were also made in the different campuses of the university wherein PM’s address was simultaneously watched live by the senior university functionaries, Deans of Schools, Heads and Coordinators of Departments, faculty members, administrative staff, research scholars and students.

Prime Minister, NarendraModi launched ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ via video conferencing. During the program, Prime Minister Modi addressed the Vice Chancellors of Universities, Heads of Institutes and faculty members in workshops organized at Raj Bhawans across the country to mark the beginning of this initiative.
The Prime Minister stressed molding the voice of the country’s youth into the policy strategy for building a developed India and highlighted the role of educational institutions that maintain maximum contact with the youth. In line with the Prime Minister’s vision to actively involve the youth of the country in the formulation of national plans, priorities and goals of the country, ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ initiative will provide a platform to the youth of the country to contribute ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The workshops will be a key step towards initiating the process of engaging youth to share their ideas and suggestions for Viksit Bharat @2047. Viksit Bharat @2047 is the vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance.
The program was organized by Prof. Gourav Gupta, Prof. NorinAkhtar and PTI Shashi Kumar of IIC cell of the college. More than 50 students participated in the program along with NCC and NSS Volunteers. Prof. Satish, Prof. Upasana, Prof. Gourav Gupta, Prof. PalvinderKumari, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Prof. AmeeqRehmanChoudhary, Prof. Surita Sharma, Prof. ParveenAkhtar, NeelamManhas and Shashi Kumar Sharma attended the program.
