Ganderbal : The Assistant Labour Commissioner Ganderbal presented a cheque to the tune of Rs.25.06 lakh on account of the disbursement among the dependents of the deceased workmen and registered construction workers of the district.
The assistance cheques covered diverse areas, reflecting a comprehensive approach to addressing various needs.
The assistance was provided on account of Death Compensation under Workermen’s Compensation Act in the case titled Syed Rasool V/s OC Beacon, Haripora to the tune of Rs. 11,73,525.
The disbursement include Death assistance for the Dependents of the deceased workers registered with J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board with each recipient receiving an amount of Rs 2 lakh for three deceased workers; supporting for higher education, benefiting 13 individuals with an total disbursement of Rs 6,30,000 and Chronic Assistance among two beneficiaries, totalling Rs 71,000.
