While warnings of stringent and strict actions to netizens misusing social media sites would hopefully reduce the rumour mongering and spread of fake news on social media sites, the restrictions over unwanted social media activities on public functionaries particularly panchayat representatives and officials connected with developmental activities in the districts could also reverse the trend of unwanted social media activities by netizens across Jammu & Kashmir.
