Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch Yasin M Choudhary on Saturday inspected pace of work on the upcoming road connecting Village Chella Dhangri to Atoli and towards the tehsil headquarters.
It was a 70 year pending demand of the villagers to have road connectivity to Chella Dhangri village and nearby Panchayats.
The residents of the village have expressed satisfaction over the efforts of the district administration for the construction of this road and hoped for speedy completion of the project.
Locals added that the ongoing construction of the approach road has been demanded by the residents for almost 70 years. “We hope that there will be more developmental works in the area and the people will gain confidence that the current administration is sincerely implementing the development agenda,” they added
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary attended the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Panchayat Kenu Kalani in Block Sathra which witnessed large turnout of villagers and huge participation of officials from the district administration.
On the occasion, the DC inspected the stalls put up by various departments like Handicraft, Health, and other line departments. PM Ujwalla Registration counter was also set up and pamphlets were distributed on the occasion
Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a good initiative as most people in the rural areas are not aware of the various welfare schemes meant for their benefit.
He added that similar programmes are being conducted in every Panchayat of the district to ensure that all the unreached target beneficiaries are covered by all the schemes which are meant for them.
He also highlighted the objectives of the programme and urged all the line departments to continue with their efforts to converge and interface with the people till the target to cover all deserving beneficiaries is met.
Later, he administered the “Hamara Viksit Sankalp Bharat Yatra” pledge to the gathering.
It may be mentioned here that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the Central Government’s flagship schemes and programmes. The goal of the Yatra is to raise awareness and facilitate the delivery of welfare schemes benefits. It is a part of the Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat campaign, focusing on reaching the vulnerable population, disseminating information, learning from citizens and enrolling potential beneficiaries.
Several Government schemes are integral to this initiative, including Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card, Poshan Abhiyan, Jal Jeevan Mission, SVAMITVA, Jan Dhan Yojana and others.
