DC B’pora reviews the implementation of projects under R&R, CSR

Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Saturday convened a meeting of officers to review the implementation of projects funded by NHPC under Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) Plan and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The DC on the occasion reviewed the implementation of several schemes including construction and beautification of Madhumati stream, construction of several Water Supply Schemes, development of several roads and construction of infrastructure in several schools in Gurez and Bandipora and development of parks besides other developmental projects.
He directed the NHPC to prioritize initiatives linked to welfare of the general public and to expedite work to complete ongoing projects as soon as possible.
He also emphasized the need to adhere to the MoU in letter and spirit, and he directed NHPC officials to resolve pending utilization with district administration on a monthly basis.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak; Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineers of PHE, I&FC, and Revenue officers, as well as NHPC staff.
