Holistic Agriculture Dev Plan: JKRLM Cluster federation Nari Ki Pehchaan establishes Machinery Bank at Panchayat Kheral in Reasi

Jammu : Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak with additional charge of Director Agriculture Jammu on Friday inaugurated Machinery Bank established by Cluster Level Federation of JKRLM “Nari Ki Pehchaan” with an incentive of Rs. 8 lakh (@ 80 % subsidy) at panchayat Kheral, Duggar Dani, Reasi under the scheme Holistic Agriculture Development Plan ((HADP).
Chief Horticulture Officer Reasi, Brij Vallabh Gupta, Chief Agriculture Officer, Harbans Singh, District Manager JKRLM, Jugal Magotra, HDO Reasi, Rakesh Salgotra, Women Entrepreneurs, PRI members and other officials were present at the programme.
During the programme, the Director also dedicated two tractors, brush cutters and other machinery to the beneficiaries of Agriculture Department @ 50% subsidy.
While addressing the gathering of about 100 women entrepreneurs of different Self Help Groups, the Director briefed them about the various Centrally and J&K sponsored schemes of the department, especially Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP). He asked the gathering to avail benefits in the shape of subsidy on establishment of different components viz: Poly House Structure, Dragon Fruit Orchard, Machinery Bank, Creation of Irrigation sources, Drip Irrigation System, etc.
He also assured the women entrepreneurs that the department will help them in setting up of Micro Food Processing Units for fruit processing/ fruit drying/ spices preparation etc. under the PMFME scheme, for the value addition of fruit products which will not only provide employment opportunities to the beneficiaries, but will also make them self reliant and henceforth can play an important role in enhancing the family income.
