Awantipora : As part of its continued Community Outreach Initiative, the Department of Architecture, IUST in collaboration with the office of the Dean Outreach organized a heritage walk for the students of Mantaqui Memorial Higher Secondary School, Awantipora and students of the Department of Architecture under faculty supervision.
The students visited different places of importance such as Khanqah of Baba Naseebud Din Ghazi, Jamia Masjid of Bijbehara, ancient temple at Ladhoo, Dara Shikoh garden,Khanqah of Khwaja Masood Pampori,mosque of Mir Mohammad Hamdani etc.The walk was aimed at creating awareness of heritage and architecture of Kashmir among the students.
